Flexibility

Learn Flexibility

Our flexibility classes are designed for those who are looking to take their stretching training to the next level and see some significant improvements along the way.

During these sessions you will work towards better alignment, posture, range of motion and all round flexibility. Our classes teach you how to safely stretch in the most effective way possible. We will explore many dynamic movements, to help you achieve the best results and see the most improvement.

Whether you can not yet touch your toes or you are comfortable in a split, our flexibility sessions are suitable for all levels. There is absolutely no minimum flexibility level required to join our classes - just a willingness to learn and improve.

Each participant takes things at their own level and pace. There are easier variations and harder progressions for any movement, dependent on your flexibility level. You will learn a lot along the way and each exercise will be explained in detail, to explain how and why.

These groups are run in a semi private environment, to be able to offer a tailored experience. This is not your typical gym class, where you are lost in a group of twenty participants. These sessions offer a very personalised experience, working towards your goals, with a fully qualified and experienced flexibility coach.

Dress code

  • Wear something comfortable that you are able to move freely in. We recommend leggings with a bit of stretch in them, especially if you want to work on learning how to do the splits!

  • At Elements, we train in barefoot and socks. We encourage you to bring a pair of socks so you have the option, as it can make some movements feel a little smoother. We ask you to please take your shoes off at the door, to protect our beautiful professional dance door.

  • Stud earrings and rings can stay on but anything dangly like necklaces, hoops, etc, please remove before the class.

  • We recommend tying your hair up where possible, just to get it out your way! However, we totally understand that some of you may feel more confident with it down, so do what feels right for you! If you change your mind when you are here, we have hair ties you can help yourself to.

Frequently asked questions

  • There is absolutely no minimum flexibility level to join these sessions. These classes are designed for absolutely all levels of flexibility.

  • There is no minimum fitness level pre-requisites to join our flexibility sessions. You take this class entirely at your own pace and in your own time.

  • We totally understand you may feel nervous about starting a class and want to check it out first but everyone is in the ‘same boat and often feeling exactly the same. Our classes are super friendly, small and personal - we only allow up to 8-participants at a time. So, please be brave and just come join in! If you feel too anxious to join a group class, book in a private lesson to come try it out first.

How to get started

You have two options to join us for flexibility:

If you see a stretch class on our timetable, you can just sign yourself in and register for the course. Our group classes unless otherwise specified, are suitable for all levels, including new beginners.

We offer private tuition 7 days a week, mornings, afternoons and evenings. Our studio is open all week, every week. If you’d like to get started with a private lesson, please contact us and we can send you our availability.
